Gina’s goal as a therapist is to work with clients at their current stage of life, while helping them find the tools they need to move forward. She partners with clients to address patterns of thinking and behavior, enhance strengths and improve weaknesses.
Gina is a warm and culturally aware professional who has worked with a diverse population of clients for over 10 years. In addition to helping adolescents, young adults and GLBT clients with adjustment and trauma, Gina has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, disruptive behaviors, and life transitions. She also has a special interest in supporting those who are dealing with the impact of infertility.
Gina's previous work experience was concentrated at Methodist Youth Services Inc. (MYSI) in Chicago. While at MYSI, she worked on both the clinical and administrative sides of the agency, serving initially as an Intake Coordinator, then as a Clinical Social Worker and later as a Clinical Manager. Gina completed her graduate-level clinical internship at Chicago's United Stand Family Counseling Center, where she treated individuals and conducted group sessions. She also worked as a Youth Program Assistant at the Center on Halsted, conducting trainings on leadership development, peacemaking circles and restorative justice practices.
