Janelle Moravek

Janelle leads Youth & Family Counseling’s overall strategy and operations, ensuring high-quality, accessible mental health services for individuals and families across Lake County. She has worked in the nonprofit and mental health fields for over 30 years, with deep experience in organizational leadership, finance, and behavioral health services. Janelle joined YFC in 2000 and has since guided the agency through growth in programs, community outreach, and service accessibility. She enjoys advancing equitable care, supporting clinicians, and strengthening systems that help people heal and thrive. Janelle holds a bachelor’s degree (with High Honors) from Wesleyan University and has continued professional development in nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and behavioral health best practices. She champions a client-centered, trauma-informed approach and supports evidence-based interventions throughout the agency.

Outside work, Janelle enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, and taking her dogs on adventures.
