Assistant Clinical Director

(847) 416-0717

Annisa joined YFC in March 2024 as the Assistant Clinical Director at our Lake Zurich site. She earned her master’s degree in Counselor Education from Western Illinois University in 2002 and her BA in psychology from Knox College in 1999.

For more than 20 years Annisa has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families. With a passion for children and adolescents, Annisa specializes in working with children three years and older and with teenage populations. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and utilizes play and art-based therapy when working with clients. She is also trained as an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist.

Prior to joining YFC, Annisa served in various management and leadership roles within counseling agencies where she especially enjoyed providing clinical supervision to interns and clinicians new to the field; she believes that new clinicians help her continue to learn and grow.

Between her husband, two special needs children, and a rowdy puppy at home, Annisa enjoys decompressing by reading, painting, hiking, and doing yoga. As a therapist and as a mom, she has learned to lean in and embrace every phase.
