Annisa serves as an Assistant Clinical Director where she provides clinical leadership and supervision, program coordination and development for the Round Lake Beach site and internship program. Annisa has over 20 years of experience in counseling, clinical supervision, and administrative leadership, and joined YFC in March 2024. She earned her MSEd in 2002 from Western Illinois University and is currently completing her doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at The Chicago School. Annisa has a strong understanding of the clinical process and is skilled in creating and implementing curriculum and evidenced based programming to improve patient care. Annisa has a passion for growing new and emerging clinicians and is dedicated to advancing the field of counseling through leadership, training, education, and program development. Annisa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified DBT Therapist (C-DBT), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). She specializes in working with children and adolescents (3-25) utilizing play therapy, art-based therapy, DBT, and CBT. She has advanced training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), expressive therapies, and equine therapy. She works collaboratively with clients and families, creating and implementing effective treatment and providing exceptional patient care. Outside of the office Annisa enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and the family dog. She enjoys reading, painting, hiking, doing yoga, and believes in embracing change in every phase.
