Yaritza Hernandez, LCSW

Yaritza supervises clinical practice and supports the professional growth of clinical interns at YFC, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care. Yaritza joined YFC in June 2024. and enjoys supporting clients through healing from complex trauma and guiding clinical interns in best practices. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University and a BS in Child and Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Social Services from Northern Illinois University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Her therapeutic approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, play therapy, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed interventions.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones.
