Demetria R. Wilkins-Walker, BA

Demetria joined Youth & Family Counseling in September 2025 as a Client Services Specialist at YFC, guiding clients through intake, scheduling, communications, and the first points of contact with the agency. With a bachelor’s degree (BA) in general psychology from Northern Illinois University, she brings strong organizational skills and warmth to every interaction. Demetria supports service access for families and individuals, helping them navigate appointments and resources with clarity and care. Demetria utilizes Person-Centered approaches, CBT-informed strategies, art directives, play-based techniques, to support engagement and connection for individuals and families seeking services. While her professional experience in mental health services continues to grow, she has established herself as a reliable connector between clients and clinical staff. Demetria enjoys creating a welcoming environment and ensuring clients feel supported from the moment they reach out. She values ongoing learning and works collaboratively with clinicians and administrators to help the agency run smoothly.

Outside of work, she enjoys having fun in the community by going to community social events and doing arts and crafts occasionally.
