Liz is a Clinical Intern at YFC, since August 2025, gaining supervised experience while supporting direct client care under licensed clinicians. As part of the agency’s internship program — designed for graduate students in counseling or social work — she applies classroom learning to real-world therapeutic settings. Liz holds a BA and is working toward advanced clinical training; her internship involves participating in client sessions, treatment planning support, and community mental health initiatives. She approaches her clinical work from a humanistic, strengths-based perspective rooted in cultural humility. Liz is interested in expanding her training in trauma-informed care, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) while developing foundational counseling skills under licensed supervision. Liz enjoys working collaboratively with clinicians and learning how to tailor support to clients’ needs. Her passion for mental health stems from a desire to help individuals and families navigate life challenges with empathy and resilience.

Outside of her internship, Liz engages in continued learning, self-reflection, and community involvement that enrich her professional growth.
