Mara joined Youth & Family Counseling in August 2025 as a Clinical Intern, working within the agency’s structured internship program to gain supervised experience in client care. In 2026 she was thrilled to accept a full-time position as a Therapist after receiving her master’s degree (MA) in clinical mental health counseling. She utilizes a person-centered framework integrated with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), non-directive play therapy techniques, and other evidence-based practices to support client engagement and emotional expression. She enjoys the mentorship offered by licensed clinicians and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to client wellness. Mara’s motivation for counseling comes from a strong belief in human capacity for growth and healing.

Beyond her work, she engages in professional development, volunteer efforts, and activities that support her growth as an emerging clinician.
